The Dogue de Bordeaux can be the absolute best family dog, for the right family. I think that too often people tend to jump into a breed without really assessing whether or not the breed is a good match for the family. Sadly I have seen this time and time again. I recommend to those who are considering purchasing a dog to go and see as many as possible prior to making your final decision. I know that seeing many Bordeaux is sometimes not possible.
